What I find funny about the KJV only movement is that they want some outdated English translation to be the official Bible in their churches. It is a lot like the Catholic Church wanting the Vulgate to be its official Bible at Trent. I really can't understand the KJV only movement for several reasons.
The first is that the Bible was originally written in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic, not in English.
The second is why the KJV? There are older English versions that you could pick from. The Tyndale Bible. The Geneva Bible. Even the first English translation that I can think of, the Wycliffe Bible. Even the Catholic English translation the Douai Rheims Bible is older than the KJV. Maybe, the KJV is the satanic version?
The third problem is that they've found older Greek manuscripts than what are contained in the Textus Receptus and what the translators of the KJV had in their possession. The same with the Jacob Ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text, which was used as the basis for it's OT.
The fourth is that the KJV version intentionally mistranslates words that weren't even in the original text that it was translating from in order to give a Royal interpretation. An example is when it uses the word duke in I Chronicles. But the most well-known mistranslation that was done intentionally was when it uses the word Easter instead of Passover.
Your "scholarship" doesn't even get out of the starting gate. My Douay-Rheims "heretical" Bible says:
"In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus; To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ."

This would be true IF the Greek read as “the Lord Jesus Christ” but it doesn’t. The Greek reads “the Lord of us Jesus”. So really the KJV is inserting “Christ”, the newer translations are not removing “Christ”.
That being said, even if this was true it wouldn’t mean much since the ESV in many other scriptures mentions Jesus as the Christ (ex. Philippians 2:5)
And this is from somebody that doesn’t necessarily love the ESV.
You can trust most modern translations. Don’t let the KJVO crowd scare you.
