I study Hebrew language, and the J is not pronounced, nor is it in the Hebrew alphabet.
I had the 1611 KJV produced by Hendrickson, bad production with words duplicated in text that are only supposed to be there once, all throughout that edition.
You cannot learn the bible by yourself. I forgot what verse in Acts, Philip help the eunock to understand the verse he was reading.
That bible says i560 not 1560!!

The Holy Spirit translates into all languages for the people he's trying to reach. KJV was for the English-speaking people in 1611. That language is now archaic- obsolete. Modern American English is very much like the Koene Greek in the first century where most the world knows and speaks fluently. The actual translation for that language is NIV's original 1973 – 1984 version. Proper translation of languages isn't a word for word process. Teachers of linguistics understand that one meaning of a word, can take several words of another language to translate the connotation, and vice-versa- you can have several words spoken or written, that the translated language has a single word that includes the entire connotation of those words. That is why NIV was completed by a panel of experts of both Hebrew and Greek who weren't Christian's, along with several denominations of Christians to protect the integrity and accuracy of the process. Problem with the translation was, it tested the churches with fire until they had to water it down a little.
The King James is better.
First of Jesus is King James changed it because it States in Revelations that the Catholic church is the beast.
Curious when you connect the fact that the throne of Satan is in Geneva and home of Cern but with that being said it makes sense why king James would want to make a new Bible.Thanks friend.
LOL. Why would any educated and reasonable person believe what is written in ANY bible? After all it was written by uneducated and superstitious men.
I think John 3:36 has a very interesting difference. In the Geneva (1599 Tolle Lege) one MUST obey Jesus; in the KJV obedience is not even mentioned in this verse:
Geneva 1599: "He that believeth in the Son, hath everlasting life, and he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him."
King James: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
(In my studies of scripture I have come to believe that the two most important things followers of Jesus must do are TRUST and OBEY him.)

People spend their entire lives studying and nitpicking every verse, every word, in the Bible, and not really get the providential meanings that are in the Bible.

Both Bibles are from the same line of manuscripts, uncorrupted Antioch manuscripts. Different than the corrupted Alexandrian manuscripts most new bibles today come from.
I am not a fan of KJV. We don't speak like the people of the time when the Bible was translated. The main thing to believe is Jesus. Men are fallible. The salvation message is in many bibles. I can’t think of one that doesn’t say so. My salvation does not hinge on what Bible I read, it’s by faith in Christ. Many churches make KJV their thing. Maranatha
