I can’t freaking wait
No
please do not include what's in my mind 😭
We already have two amazing Pride and Prejudice versions: the unbeatable 1995 BBC one and the 2005 movie
mr darcy is looking more like Colonel Fitzwilliam in 2005 version just slimmer.
PriDEI and Prejudice. 🤣Mr Bingley and Caroline Bignley are biracial, the Bennet sisters are gorgeous but too old for their characters and one of them is a BBW, Lizzie's aunt is Indian and Rufus Sewell looks too young to be Mr. Bennett. Will Mr Collins be non binary? They'll need to include someone who is handicapped, someone who is on the spectrum, someone Muslim, someone Jewish to check off all the inclusivity boxes….what else…Aesthetics wise it looks really pretty but I wonder how the dialogue will turn out with all the character changes.
A ginger Darcy??
Why does it look so dull and grey? XD I'm bored already. (I'll surely watch, tho)
how many times do they keep on remaking this story
Stop please 😢
As a huge Pride and Prejudice fan, I’m honestly nervous about the casting. Please don’t let this be disappointing
Miss Eliza Bennet on a roof?
Not what we asked for, Netflix
Darcy is not Darcying but Elizabeth is not Elizabething either.
Better not suck like they did persuasion😂 serious
The leads are just plain bleh….
Sigh. Leave Jane Austen’s to BBC…please.
Well we have every version of this story made, guess it was only Netflix missing.
This Lizzie ain’t lizzing y’all
in 2005 everyone was cursing out the new adaptation just the same as you guys are doing it now and proclaiming that the 1995 version could never be matched. now it's everyone's darling. and look, I'm sure in 1995 the same happened and people had trouble accepting that there would be another take on their 1980 darling. just see what it is when it's there and let it be its own thing. you are free to walk away and pretend it never happened if you don't like it. I have been doing that with the 2005 version for over 20 years at this point. 🙃
Hes not good looking enough to be Darcy
The 2005 had messy hair, which does not make sense of the times.
SHould hired casting director of Bridgerton to do the job.
There was no need for this one like noooo why you gotta ruin such a masterpiece the actor for Mr. Darcy is just not it I mean he is not giving the vibes of this character. The og Mr. Darcy has such aura I mean you could just figure it out by just him walking and being on the screen this time it makes me cringe so hard. With all seriousness it’s not a right choice 😭😭
I'll say it. They're too ugly.
Not many versions of Persuasion. And they f uped the recent one.
Okay but why Elizabeth looks like Frodo?
What I want to see isn’t what is in this trailer. As a lover of the book, I want to see her wit, their reparteè and her personality. Jennifer Ehle captured her playfulness beautifully. This trailer doesn’t show the essence of the characters. I hope Emma Corrin can prove me wrong but I just don’t see her as Lizzie.
Sorry, who put Mr. Collins in all the Darcy shots? Darcy is supposed to be intense and brooding, not limp and freshly escaped from the locker where the other boys shoved him.
No.
It is truth universally acknowledged that a multi-billion dollar corporation must be in want of an idea they can squeeze more money out of.
