  • Amazon was my first card, kinda stupidly, but i was buying a lot there at the home. I didn't get the prime version so i only get 3% back, which is decent except when discover drops 5% in q4. I forget what they started me at, but eventually it went to 3000 and then when i was really hurting, they upped it to 9000 and my credit score surged. Sadly, it was a hellish road still after that, but I've consolidated everything and only carry monthly balances now.

I recently got chase freedom flex and they gave me 2k, so i was thinking exactly this and read that you can do it. I don't need 9k on Amazon, so I'll flip 7k over to cff and make that 9k, interest free for 15 months.🎉

  • My limit is 13k now I think with it, I just use it for everything cuz 1% back on everything with no annual fee is too good. I think its severly underrated tbh considering again no annual fee and the tons of cash back bonuses you get from it. This with one other card for maybe groceries and gas is all u need as a normal person lol.

If you like to travel though….well then youre not a normal person and are in severe debt.

  • So basically you moved $3,000 of available credit since the Amazon card is a Signature Visa and the minimum limit is $5K

  • I would personally go with the business flavor card instead. It's an amex card so it's going to have the best customer service and purchase protection. It won't show up on your personall credit and amex won't even pull your credit if you already have cards with them. Not to mention you get all the same cash back categories but also the option of 5% back or 90 days interest free.
